Welcome to my Website! In January of 2004, I embarked on a new adventure in my life and joined the Christian Writer's Guild - a two year online writing program. I was assigned to a wonderful mentor, Mr. Norm Rohrer, who has tirelessly encouraged me to "press forward towards the mark" despite crippling setbacks such as a financial crisis in which I lost both my Internet ISP account and telephone service and my first born son's May graduation from high school which was both preceded and followed by a strenuously ardent 24/7 search for scholarship funds in order that he may attend TCU in the fall of 2004. Welcome to my world! My name is Darlene Ulmet and I am a single parent of five children - Chris (age 18), Daniel (age 16), Laura (age 13), John (age 12) and Robert (age 12). And yes, the last two are twins! I am employed as an accountant with Open Arms Home, Inc. - a residential two year recovery program for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. I attend Richland Hills Church of Christ where I serve as the coordinator for the single-parent family care group. And in my spare time (chuckle, chuckle), I like to write! I am interested in writing both fiction and non-fiction works of varying lengths. My largest work in progress to date is Divorce Quake. I have websites all over the web in varying degrees of completion and for a while I tinkered with idea of website design as an additional source of income (see Texas Cyberizations) but I soon found that both time resource and my personal degree of interest led me in another direction - namely, this one that you see here. I have also outlined a fictional series entitled The Cyberization Novel Series which has been a work in progress for the last decade. As soon as I became a published author, I found that my family, friends, and relatives clamored for copies of my work. For the record, I don't think anyone else is out there clamoring yet but one can always hope and pray that one day fame and fortune will ensue and the masses will indeed clamor to read what I have written! For the time being, my works can be viewed here at CWGApprentice's Website. Thank you for visiting!
